Chetta’s Academy Hair and Nails was established in 1995 by Chetta Wallace in Port Angeles Washington. Chetta has been in the beauty industry over 42 years, and she has been an instructor in several areas of the beauty industry for nine years. Just a few of the teachings that Chetta has passed on have been in the areas of cosmetology, nail technician and of course more instructors. Some of these instructors stay at Chetta’s to help her legacy grow.

Chetta’s Academy is a Paul Mitchell Focus School which is a great asset to their students, staff and clients. All products used and sold in the Academy are Paul Mitchell products, which are wonderful professional products. Also Paul Mitchell sends its staff to teach the students and staff the knowledge that has been acquired by Paul Mitchell. This helps further instill the teachings that the academy has already given.

Chetta’s academy is also the only NACCAS (National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences) school on the Olympic Peninsula.  This enables the academy to offer their knowledge to a wider range of students by using FAFSAs and applying for state and federal grants. Chetta’s Academy of Hair and Nails has great statistics for students obtaining their goals! In the 2003-2004 school year 75% of the students who started school graduated, and everyone who graduated were licensed and obtained jobs in the career they had been dreaming about!
