Chetta's manicureChetta’s Academy of Hair and Nails offers the education in three courses, but each student is responsible to take all actions necessary to be licensed upon completion of their course. These courses are:

  • Cosmetology
  • Nail Technician
  • Instructor

Note: A High School Diploma or GED is required for enrolment for any of our courses.

~ Cosmetology ~

The cosmetology course is an 1800 hour program (53.5 weeks) in which each student will spend a specified amount of time (per academy rules and state law) in each of the following areas:

  • Theory
  • Manicuring and pedicuring
  • Skin care and waxing
  • Hair and scalp analysis
  • Permanent waving and chemical relaxing
  • Haircutting with razors, clippers, and shears
  • Shampooing
  • Styling (airwave, fingerwave, roller, pincurl, setting, braiding, etc.)
  • Hair coloring and bleaching
  • Sanitation
  • Additional hours in salon business, management, etc.

Tuition $10,379.00
Nametag, 3 mani heads, uniform, book and tax $321.00
Registration fee $150.00
Lab fee $150.00

Total $11,000.00

~ Nail Technician ~

The nail tech course is a 700 hour program (20.6 weeks) in which each student will spend a specified amount of time (per academy rules and state law) in each of the following areas:

  • Theory
  • Artificial nails
  • Manicuring and pedicuring
  • Nail diseases and disorders
  • Safety, sanitation and bacteriology
  • Additional hours in salon business and management etc.

~ Instructor ~

The instructor course is a 600 hour program (17.6 weeks) in which each student will spend a specified amount of time (per academy rules and state law) in each of the following areas:

  • Student Leadership Development
  • Methods of Instructing and Aids
  • Characteristics of Teaching
  • Audio and Visual materials
  • Students Learning
  • Test Evaluation and Record progress
  • Developing a Course of Study
  • Evaluating Student Performance
  • Lesson Planning and Objectives
  • Assisted Clinical Supervision

Note: to enroll in the instructor course you must have a valid license in the state of Washington for each of the courses you want to instruct.
